Abstract

In present society, English teaching has become more and more important in China. With the improvement of the quality of education, English teaching is always facing many reformations. However, Communicative Approach has been adopted in China for many years, and its most important advantage lies in improving the communicative competence as the goal of language learning, recognizing the interdependence of language and communication, and laying emphasis on students’ communicative competence in classroom.
    The thesis consists of four parts. The first part introduces the current situation of traditional English teaching. The second part introduces the definition, features, and advantages of this approach. The third part introduces the application of Communicative Approach in junior school English teaching. The last part the author makes two surveys of the different English class before and after the method is applied, and gets the conclusion that Communicative Approach do have the influence of cultivating students’ communicative competence, and improving the teaching efficiency. It is key that teachers must renew the traditional teaching methods to enhance the teaching quality.

摘  要

 现代社会英语教学在中国教育中日益重要,随着教育质量的提高,英语教学的改革势在必行。然而,交际法英语教学已引入我国多年,其最大的优点就是把交际能力的提高作为语言学习的目标,承认语言与交际之间的相互依赖关系,此外重视课堂中学生交际能力的运用,注重学用合一,强调学生的主动性和相互作用。
全文共分为四部分,第一部分阐述了在当前教学中出现的问题;第二部分主要介绍交际教学方法的定义,特点,优点等。第三部分则主要介绍了交际法在中学课堂教学中的应用,并对中学英语教学中存在的问题提出了改进措施。在文章最后一部分,作者对两个英语水平大致相同的英语班进行了调查,并通过前后对比得出交际法具有改善学生交际能力,提高课堂教学效率的结论。最关键的是教师应该改变传统的观念及教学方法,真正扮演好教学工作中组织实施者的角色。
